Air Fryer Bacon Wrapped Shrimp

Air Fryer Bacon Wrapped Shrimp makes for a great, easy appetizer and ready in just 12 minutes!

This Air Fryer Bacon Wrapped Shrimp is absolutely perfect as a snack or appetizer, it’s keto-friendly and easy to make in the Ninja Foodi too.

This is a wonderful low-carb option if you need a good snack or lunch option.  We often like to eat this for lunch paired with some cheese and veggies.

What shrimp should you use for Air Fryer Bacon Wrapped Shrimp?

In this recipe, I used medium-sized cooked, peeled, and deveined shrimp with the tail-on.  It can also be made with large shrimp as well.

Since I used medium-sized, I cut the bacon in half to wrap around each shrimp.  The best bacon to use is center-cut bacon as it’s not quite as fatty as other cuts of bacon.

Can you make Air Fryer Bacon Wrapped Shrimp in the Ninja Foodi?

This recipe can be made in the Ninja Foodi using the air crisp function, it will be made exactly the same as it would with the Air Fryer.

If you use the Ninja Foodi, you will use the air crisp basket too.

How should you line the Air Fryer Basket?

The bottom of the air fryer basket will need to be sprayed with olive oil cooking spray.  If you prefer, you can use these air fryer parchment sheets.

These sheets are perfect for the air fryer or Ninja Foodi because they have holes in the bottom to allow the air to still circulate.  I find these to be very helpful when making bacon in the air fryer.

It really cuts back on all the grease on the basket.

Do you need to use toothpicks in the air fryer for this recipe?

Toothpicks are not necessary unless you prefer those and you can add them after they are cooked.  The best way to make these is to wrap the bacon around the shrimp so that the seam is on the bottom and place the shrimp seam side down in the air fryer basket.

Once they are cooked, they will come out with the bacon wrapped around the shrimp without coming off, it’ll be crisp to the shrimp.  The bacon should be around the center of the shrimp, not covering the tail.

These can also be made with tail-off shrimp as well.
